TITAN-PORT F (Fetal Port)
Indication:
intrauterine growth restriction caused by placental insufficiency (IUGR)
Contraindication:
posterior located placenta
Purpose:
improvement of fetal growth, prolongation of pregnancy
Usage:
long term administration of nutriments into the umbilical vein such as aminoacids and glucosis via the port system
Period:
during 24-32nd week of gestation with IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction) estimated fetal weight <10th percentile, pathological Doppler ultrasound control findings
Placement:
port implantation can be performed only in pregnant women with anterior or anterior-lateral located placenta
Duration:
daily, volume of the intraumbilical infusion limited to 10% of the estimated fet-placental blood volume per day
